Thanks! I'm glad you like them :) I used three textures for the lower right glowy effect. Here are the textures in the order I applied them, they were all flipped from left to right. I put the setting that I used next to each, but not the level since you could change them to something that suits you.
1) by tihana. Set at Screen
2) by blimey_icons. One layer at screen or soft light. Second layer at dodge.
I'm sure it will be a total surprise that my blind voting included three of yours *g*. I really liked your 2, 6, and 4; something about the colouring of 2 appealed to me, and the way you used the light texture. 6 felt possibly a little too smooth on her skin, but again, the colouring and texture were lovely, and the placement of the tiny text was great, and I liked the stuff you added to 4 (I saw your explanation here, good stuff :) - I liked the layering)
Awww, thank you! ^_^ I really appreciate the reviews you give on the icons. It helps me see what others are seeing.
I kind of wanted the skin to be extra smooth on #6. I'm trying to make different looks and that icon seemed like a good one to try something a bit "unnatural". I really love the coloring on this icon.
#2 was a toughy. The screencap was kind of dark, and a difficult crop to make interesting. The textures came out well and I like the way the text came out.
Glad you enjoyed my explanation of what I did with #4. I don't mind sharing how I make them if I can go back and figure out my process, lol. You'd be surprised how many textures I can use on icons sometimes :)
