Wow. Thank you for the specific feedback; it's very useful. It has been almost a year since I made icons but Bab 5 is irresistible. Jumping back in has been a little harder than I thought it would be; these caps were a huge challenge. Working with the foggy look is difficult! I was concentrating on trying to create attractive coloring. That #4 icon would have text but neither of the options I created "worked." Text is always the hardest for me and it seems I'm going to need more practice to get back into icon-making form. :)
The sharpening is just right on #2 (it would have been really noticeable if it wasn't given the images used).
The b&w with the colouring at the top is great on #3.
The colouring is also great on #4, as is the use of negative space.
Finally, loving cyan being brought out on #5, the curved text and the blur on the background which enables focus on the main subjects. :)
